November 2024: curves and corners collection - Alhambra, Spain
It has been such a busy fall so far! I hope you and yours weathered the hurricanes well and made voting plans.
Well, curves and corners has arrived and boy do I have ideas. I am not one to appreciate the math on the page, but when it comes to the symmetry and balance of design I am its biggest fan.
The Palace of Charles V is a great way to kick things off; it is an exceptional example of what this collection will embody. The Alhambra is one of those rare tourist attractions worth navigating crowds for.
Later in the month there will be a horizontal view of this beautiful structure as well as one of the many doors.
The special edition print featuring Paris, France is nearly finished with a preview coming to subscribers soon!
Thanks for stopping by. We hope one of our pieces can add a special touch to your holiday season.
Be well. And don’t forget to explore life’s hues.

September 2024: fall collections
In August, email subscribers received a sneak peek of what’s coming -Â
This fall will be the debut of an as yet to be named collection focused on architectural elements, which is something I am excited to dive into. It will be produced in editions of 25. We’ll also offer minis in some combination of 4"x6" and 5"x7" sizes. The first series of the collection will feature the Palace of Charles V, Alhambra, Granada, Spain. The color palette for the series is inspired by traditional terrazzo colors.
During the holiday season the doorway musings collection will release an special edition print featuring Paris, France. Five will be printed and no minis will be available.
Subscribers will have the opportunity to reserve a copy ahead of the release. Two are already reserved! More details will be shared in the coming months.
Thanks for your continued support. We’re glad to have you.
Be well. And don’t forget to explore life’s hues.

August 2024: doorway musings collection - Athens, Greece
Have you ever found yourself noticing the same thing repeatedly, no matter where you are? I guess the title gives this one away! Natural world aside, I am a sucker for a good door. I cannot pinpoint exactly when the photographs of doors started, but they are ever-present now.
To me, each door tells a story about the broader community, its culture, and the mood of the neighborhood. Is it pristine and utilitarian? Is it merely a facade of form over function? Does it carry the scars of history and stories of perseverance? Does it reflect a welcoming community of people who often share their lives with passersby? Is it proudly wearing the patina of age, or has time taken its toll?
Sometimes I feel safer traveling in other countries than I do just existing in my own. Different does not automatically mean dangerous, and a pristine facade is not always followed by kindness. It is fascinating how a door can give you a glimpse of the version of humanity you are likely to encounter.
The first print in the doorway musings collection is up the street from the Acropolis Museum. Imagine having a view of the Theatre of Dionysus and the Acropolis all day. Talk about telling a story!Â
Thank you for stopping by. I hope the world shows you a little bit of kindness today.
Be well. And don’t forget to explore life’s hues.

May 2024: Tree of Life, Audubon Park
When I set off on this journey I did not expect my first print would feature a tree. I have always found solace in the company of trees though. There is something about their resilience and enduring presence that centers me in my environment.
It does seem fitting it would be a specimen from New Orleans, however. High atop the list of the mysteries of [my] life is why I have yet to pack up and move there.
Earlier this year, I found myself immersed in a fervent obsession with sketching trees and landscapes - which sparked the inspiration for the branching out collection. Around the same time, I was contemplating the impact of how I was allocating the hours of my days. I had an 'I need morepaint' moment (read our story for more) and recognized art needed to have a much larger presence. And thus, morepaint gallery was born!
In retrospect, of course this series is the debut. After all, my love affair with New Orleans is as resilient as the Tree of Life itself.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the first series of the branching out collection.
